I am sorry for your flare up! It is the worst pain I have ever known, so I sympathize with you. I am taking Naproxen for my current flare up. Colchicine is something also my doctor prescribed me when I first went on Allopurinol to reduce uric acid levels.
Maybe someone else has a better suggestion.
