Home Remedies For Gout: Water Photo

For the lead image on my Home Remedies For Gout page, I couldn’t resist this photo from flickr.

Big time water drinker from Drew Stephens says it all – Drink Water – Big Time. OK, 5 gallons a time might be just a little too much, but if you have gout, you need to get the water habit.

Please note that, whilst there is no evidence to suggest that water can cure gout, lack of water can certainly make it worse. Whether you take gout medications, or choose to rely on natural gout cures, sufficient water is vital. Uric acid cannot be excreted through your kidneys if you are dehydrated. Please ensure you drink sufficient water, varied with other fluids such as skim milk. Sufficient means enough to produce 2 to 2.5 liters of urine per day.
