Hello newby here, I've been having on and off gout attacks for a few years now ,and have a good size tophia growth on my large toe on left foot. Is there any way to disolve this? I've been on 200 a day of allopureinol for a few wks now but have no idea if this will do anything. The only time I talked to a podiatrist he wanted to do surgury ,since I like to snowboard I didn't want to undergo any surgury if I can avoid it ..any info would be great thanks guys ..

Go to 300 mg. allopurinol and see what a year on it does. Don't hope for a lot. If you DO have success it will be slow.

Often surgery is the only way to get rid of a big old tophus.
